30 School Heads Notified for Admission Target Shortfall
“Lahore DEA Issues Notices to 30 High School Headmasters for Missing Admission Targets”
The Lahore District Education Authority (DEA) has issued show-cause notices to 30 high school headmasters for their failure to meet admission targets in the ongoing academic year. These notices, dispatched by the Lahore DAE Chief Executive Officer, were directed to schools such as Government Girls High School Singh Pura, Muslim League High School Empress Road, and Comprehensive Girls School Wahdat Road, among others, throughout the district.
The school heads have been instructed to fulfill their admission quotas by January 15, with a warning of potential removal from their positions if targets remain unmet. Concurrently, the Punjab School Education Department (SED) plans to replace school heads who haven’t met the enrollment benchmarks set for each school in the province.
This decision follows numerous government schools across the province falling short of their enrollment targets. The aim is to enforce accountability among educational institution heads, signaling that failure to meet enrollment objectives won’t be tolerated. This strategic move is intended to motivate school heads to exert more effort toward achieving admission targets, ultimately enhancing enrollment figures across Punjab.
