AIOU will hold its convocation on January 31

Alama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced its upcoming convocation scheduled for January 31, 2024, at the Jinnah Convention Center in Islamabad.

The President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, serving as the Chancellor of the University, will grace the event as the chief guest. Hosting the ceremony will be AIOU‘s Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr. Nasir Mahmood.

Dignitaries including federal ministers, secretaries, senior officials from HEC, vice chancellors of various universities, renowned journalists, esteemed social personalities, deans, professors, and students of AIOU will partake in this significant academic gathering.

Emphasizing the importance of the convocation, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Nasir Mehmood has urged students to register by January 5 to ensure their maximum participation. Graduates who have achieved a minimum of 70% marks from Autumn 2004 to Spring 2022 are eligible for registration.

Students can register and access further details about the convocation via the convocation website aiou.edu.pk. The university administration has completed all necessary preparations for these ceremonies.

The convocations are set to occur in Muzaffarabad and all provincial capitals, including Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, and Peshawar. The Islamabad convocation on January 31, 2024, will host students from Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Rawalpindi Division (Attack, Chaklala, Jhelum, and Rawalpindi) at the Jinnah Convention Center.

Karachi’s convocation is scheduled for March 3, 2024, while Lahore’s will take place on March 28. Quetta’s ceremony is slated for May 19, and Peshawar and Muzaffarabad chapters will hold their convocations on June 9 and June 30, 2024, respectively. PhD graduates are required to register in Islamabad exclusively.
