CM Punjab Directs Transfer of Absent BISE Officials
“Caretaker CM Orders Transfer of Absent BISE Staff”
“The Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has instructed the transfer of all absentee officials from the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) following a surprise visit to the Lahore BISE facilitation center. During his visit, he encountered numerous absent staff members and unmanned counters, causing distress among visiting students just before the break.
Engaging with students, the caretaker CM heard their grievances about staff absenteeism and unattended counters, highlighting the inconvenience caused to students seeking assistance.
Expressing dissatisfaction with staff absence during office hours, Mr. Naqvi stressed the necessity for BISE services to be accessible online, reducing the need for physical visits.
He mandated the transition of all student facilities to an online platform within seven days and directed the education minister and higher education department secretary to address and resolve student issues at the BISE office promptly.
