Education Ministry Grants Higher Time Scales to 509 Teachers

The Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training recently organized a meeting focused on promotions for teachers in different grade levels, from BPS-18 to BPS-20. This meeting, conducted by the departmental promotion committee, resulted in a significant change in the promotion landscape for these educators.

During the meeting, the committee carefully assessed 509 cases concerning the grant of a Higher Time Scale (HTS) to teachers. As a result, there were remarkable outcomes: 14 teachers who were at BPS-20 were successfully promoted to BPS-21. Among them, there were 3 male and 4 female Professors from Federal Government Colleges, and 2 male and 2 female Professors from Model Colleges who achieved this prestigious status.

Moreover, the impact of the decisions made in this meeting extended to teachers in BPS-19, with 138 individuals achieving the HTS of BPS-21. This included various Associate Professors from both the Federal Government and Model Colleges, along with Deputy Headmistresses and Principals from schools, all experiencing promotions to higher positions.

Further, 357 teachers in BPS-18 saw progress in their careers as they were granted HTS of BPS-19. This encompassed Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, and Assistant Headmistresses from model colleges, as well as Vice Principals from schools, signifying a widespread impact on various teaching positions.

In recognition of these significant promotions, Dr. Rahima Rehman, the President of the Federal Government College Teachers Association, expressed heartfelt congratulations to the honored teachers. She conveyed gratitude to the officials and officers of the Federal Directorate of Education and the Education Ministry for their dedicated efforts in facilitating these promotions, acknowledging their substantial support in this regard.
