Adjusted Sindh School Hours Amid Harsh Winter
The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department issued new school timings province-wide on Friday, attributing the decision to the dropping temperatures. As per the notice, both government and private schools under the department’s control will commence classes at 8:30 am. This adjusted schedule is set to continue until the end of January.
Classes in schools across the province resumed on January 1 following a 10-day winter break. Social media previously circulated a fake notification about an extended winter break in Sindh, prompting the School Education Department to denounce it and announce plans for legal action against those responsible for spreading false information.
Earlier, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had prolonged their school winter breaks due to the cold weather. Although reports hint at a possible extension in holidays due to the ongoing low temperatures, the provincial governments have yet to make any official decisions.
