Punjab Boards Officially Release 2024 Matric Exam Schedule
The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairpersons has officially released the schedule for the highly awaited matriculation examinations set to occur in March 2024 across various districts in Punjab. The Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education will conduct these exams in Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Gujranwala, Multan, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Rawalpindi, and Lahore.
The date sheet reveals that the first-year matriculation exams will commence with the English paper on March 4, followed by Chemistry and General Science on March 6. Physics and Islamic Studies (Optional) are scheduled for March 8, with Islamic Studies on March 9. Subjects like Arabic, Pakistan Studies, Biology, Computer Science, Translation of the Quran, and Urdu will be examined on subsequent dates in March.
Additionally, the Class 9 annual exams will cover subjects like English, Biology, Computer Science, Chemistry, General Science, Physics, Islamic Studies (Optional), Translation of the Quran, Islamic Studies, Arabic, Pakistan Studies, and Urdu from March 20 to April 5.
Addressing concerns about Ramadan, the Boards have shown sensitivity to community sentiments. Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has postponed SSC exams (Ninth and Tenth classes), originally set for March 14, to April 18, 2024. This decision, prompted by appeals from students and parents, considers the potential clash of exam schedules with the sacred month of Ramadan. The Chairman of BISE Peshawar emphasized the importance of respecting Ramadan and community sentiments during the decision-making process.
The rescheduling in both Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa aims to accommodate the needs and preferences of students and their families during this crucial examination period. Stay tuned for further updates, and best of luck to all students preparing for their matriculation examinations.
