The head of HEC has called for the nation to embrace technological advancement to empower itself
Prof Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman of the Higher Education Commission, has emphasized the transformative potential of cutting-edge technologies, particularly digital twinning, and functional reverse engineering, in hastening the speed of technological advancement.
On Sunday, he spoke at the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology during an international workshop on functional reverse engineering of machine tools (WRE 2023).
Dr. Ahmed highlighted the significant momentum these technologies have achieved, presenting significant prospects for indigenous machine tool development in Pakistan.
The seminar drew a varied range of participants, including academic and industry professionals, practitioners, scientists from across the world, and students from throughout the country, to delve into the complexities of functional reverse engineering and digital twinning.
The workshop, according to the HEC chairman, is a golden opportunity for global academic and industrial communities to foster collaboration, exchange insights, and collectively explore innovative avenues for quality enhancement and fault identification in various products.
He emphasized the workshop’s critical role in serving society’s and future generations’ best interests, emphasizing the critical importance of functional reverse engineering and digital twins.
