CM Sindh Emphasizes Teaching for Sustainable Development

In Karachi, the Caretaker Sindh Chief Minister, Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqar, highlighted the pivotal role of teaching graduates in shaping a nation’s future and society’s elevation. Addressing the Government Elementary College of Education’s 2023 convention at Hussainabad, he underscored the significance of a robust teaching workforce.

Acknowledging a significant milestone, Baqar commended the inaugural batch of graduates from Hussainabad Teachers Training College under Durbeen’s leadership. He lauded Durbeen’s public-private partnership in 2019, attributing the successful collaboration to the current batch’s achievements.

These graduates, according to the Chief Minister, not only excelled academically but also attained positions comparable to entry-level roles in banking and medicine. He praised their pivotal roles in esteemed institutions like Zindagi Trust Government Schools, Khatoon-e-Pakistan, and SMB Fatima Jinnah, emphasizing the profound impact of teachers on tomorrow’s minds.

Highlighting the teaching profession’s fundamental role as the cornerstone of any nation, Baqar stressed the necessity of a robust teaching workforce for sustainable development. He emphasized the graduates’ potential in shaping the future and uplifting society.

Additionally, Baqar praised the graduates’ dedication to government schools as a symbol of educational empowerment, ensuring equal opportunities for all, irrespective of socioeconomic backgrounds.
