Education Is a Guarantee of Development for Any Nation Peshawar’s Mayor
Mayor Zubair Ali of Peshawar underscored the pivotal role of education, highlighting it as a fundamental need for every individual and a linchpin for a nation’s development. As the chief guest at the University Model School’s annual day ceremony, Mayor Haji Zubair Ali was accompanied by Professor Dr. Saleem, former Provincial Minister Amanullah Haqqani, the Principal, and various faculty members.
In his address, Mayor Zubair Ali emphasized the enduring significance of education in today’s era, affirming its timeless relevance despite the passage of time. He stressed the profound impact of moral education in shaping a cohesive and virtuous society. Recognizing the indispensable role of teachers, he emphasized their pivotal contribution in guiding children toward higher education, painting a vibrant picture of an educational environment enriched by dedicated educators.
Reflecting on his own educational journey, Mayor Peshawar attributed his achievements to the guidance and mentorship received from his teachers, expressing his commitment to meeting the needs of every educational institution. He unveiled plans to ensure comprehensive facilities for students, including the provision of an ambulance for immediate medical aid, distribution of sports equipment, and cash incentives for high-achieving students. Additionally, Mayor Peshawar announced a substantial reward of Rs. 1 million for top-ranking students under the University Model School’s supervision.
Furthering his commitment to education, Mayor Peshawar pledged the construction and renovation of hostel rooms, amplifying support for sports activities, and recognized the instrumental role of teachers in guiding students toward the right path. He also inaugurated the University Public School’s annual sports gala, further underscoring the significance of holistic development through education and sports.
