Education Ministry Set to Establish High-Impact IT Training Institutes Nationwide
The Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training has unveiled an innovative plan to establish ‘High-Impact IT Training Institutes’ in partnership with four prominent national universities – NUST, NUML, COMSATs, and NSU – alongside the National Vocational and Technical Commission (NAVTCC) and 16 federal degree colleges in Islamabad.
Official sources indicate that specialized courses in Data Science, AI, and Blockchain will be conducted in the federal capital’s degree colleges. These intensive training programs will span six months, ensuring high-quality education.
Participating institutions such as NUST, NUML, COMSATs, and NSU are actively involved in this initiative. Both graduate and undergraduate students are eligible for this training and subsequent certification, with strong encouragement to apply.
Each federal degree college will accommodate 200 to 300 students, providing the necessary space and hardware for the training programs. The primary objective is to enhance employability in rapidly evolving IT sectors.
NAVTCC’s role as a funding agency guarantees financial support for the successful execution of these training initiatives. The institutes are slated to kickstart soon, offering students a timely opportunity to acquire cutting-edge IT skills.
This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, nurturing highly skilled professionals poised to contribute effectively to the IT landscape. The Ministry extends gratitude to all collaborating institutions for their dedicated efforts in advancing education and cultivating a technologically adept workforce.
According to sources, these IT Training Institutes aspire to empower individuals and significantly contribute to our nation’s digital growth in the foreseeable future.
