Governor KPK emphasizes the educational successes of women.
Governor Haji Ghulam Ali of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa underscored the pivotal role of education in global competitiveness during his address at the inaugural convocation of the Government Women’s College of Commerce and Management Sciences.
Highlighting a remarkable milestone, he emphasized that female enrollment in the province has surpassed male counterparts in both primary and higher education. Beyond sheer numbers, he celebrated the exceptional achievements of female students, recognizing their prominence in educational positions.
Addressing the graduating cohort, the Governor urged female students to leverage their education for societal and national development, emphasizing the transformative potential of educated women. He hailed educated women as sources of family pride and national contributors, encouraging them to harness modern technology to initiate home-based businesses.
In a broader scope, Governor Ghulam Ali stressed the necessity of equipping all students, regardless of gender, with modern technology to prepare them for future challenges.
During the convocation, the Governor personally handed degrees to 136 accomplished students who excelled in Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Commerce, and Associate Diploma of Commerce programs. He extended congratulations to the successful students, their parents, and the dedicated faculty members.
The institution’s Principal, Iram Nisar, presented the institution’s annual performance report to the Governor during the event, which was attended by distinguished figures including Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mujaddidur Rahman from Abbottabad University of Science and Technology, Registrar, faculty members, students, and parents.
