HEC Concludes Training for NFDP Cohort VIII
The National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) have finished training Cohort VIII of the National Faculty Development Program (NFDP).
The trained faculty members will be placed in public sector universities through the Interim Placement of Fresh PhDs (IPFP) program.
NAHE introduced the Pre-Service NFDP to prepare and certify recent Ph.D. graduates for teaching roles in higher education. The training equips them with essential techniques and skills to enhance their teaching practices.
This program focuses on transitioning theoretical knowledge into practical implementation, emphasizing effective teaching methods.
During the closing ceremony, Ms. Noor Amna Malik, Managing Director of NAHE, congratulated the newly certified IPFP Fellows for completing the training. She highlighted the structured training that emphasizes innovative methodologies, including micro-teaching.
Ms. Malik stressed the importance of incorporating societal norms and values into teaching practices and encouraged candidates to engage in research, innovation, and the development of critical thinking skills beyond their teaching responsibilities.
