HEC Establishes 100 Smart Classrooms Across Pakistan
In Islamabad today, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) marked a significant stride in advancing education across Pakistan. An achievement worth celebrating: is the establishment of 100 smart classrooms nationwide.
In an online ceremony helmed by Executive Director Dr. Zia Ul-Qayyum, the HEC showcased these technological advancements propelling higher education in the country. Joining the event were Chairman Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, Vice Chancellors, university leadership, and key figures including HEC Member (IT) Dr. Jamil Ahmad, Project Coordinator HEDP Dr. Mahmood ul Hassan, In-Charge IT Division Mr. Naveed Tahir, and representatives from Huawei.
Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed hailed the HEC’s IT Division and universities for this milestone, emphasizing its pivotal role in transforming the higher education landscape. He highlighted these smart classrooms’ game-changing potential, envisaging an enriched digital learning experience that engages students and enhances the quality of online education.
Expressing gratitude to Pakistan and China’s governments, M/s CRSC, and solution partner M/s Huawei, Dr. Zia Ul-Qayyum underscored the broader impact of these state-of-the-art classrooms. As part of the HEC’s CPEC project, these classrooms open doors to distance learning, connecting to 4000 participants simultaneously, reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to global education standards.
This achievement underscores HEC’s commitment to modernizing education, heralding a new era of dynamic and accessible learning experiences for higher education students nationwide.
