The Mohi-ud-Din Islamic University was established through the enactment of the Mohi-ud-Din Islamic University Nerian Sharif Act, 1999, by the Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. Its primary goal is to produce graduates equipped with contemporary knowledge alongside a foundation in religious education, preparing them to confront the challenges of the modern era. Accreditation by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) confirms the parity of the degrees, diplomas, and certificates conferred by the University with those from other Pakistani universities. The university’s main campus, situated amidst the picturesque landscapes of Nerian Sharif (Tararkhal), Azad Jammu and Kashmir, spans 10 acres and stands approximately 6,000 feet above sea level. - Candidates are required to provide a copy of the synopsis/research proposal. Admission is subject to the availability of the Supervisor in the field of research and fulfillment of HEC’s criteria.

- Every student at the time of admission to this University shall give an undertaking to the effect that he/she is not pursuing a degree program in any other institution.

Scholarship Scheme
Students at the undergraduate level who achieve a score of 85% or higher in a semester will be eligible for a scholarship. The scholarship amount will be determined based on the availability of funds and will encourage healthy competition among students while serving as a motivational incentive. Scholarships will be awarded on a semester-by-semester basis.
To qualify for the merit scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
A. No disciplinary actions have been taken or initiated against the student during the semester.
B. There are no outstanding financial liabilities related to fees, mess charges, or any other fees.
C. All courses must be passed in a single attempt.
D. The scholarship amount will be either 25% of the tuition fee or a maximum of Rs. 10,000/-, whichever is lower, along with a certificate. The limit of the scholarship may be adjusted with the approval of the Vice Chancellor.
