“NAVTTC Trains 100,000 Individuals in 2023; Federal Education Minister Updates Senate Committee
Federal Education Minister Madad Ali Sindhi informed the Senate Standing Committee that NAVTTC trained over 100,000 people in 2023. Notably, approximately 58,000 were trained in Punjab, 38,000 in Sindh, 13,000 in Balochistan, and 3,000 in KPK. Additionally, around 3,000 individuals from Islamabad, GB, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir received training.
He highlighted his focus on empowering women by raising their quota from 33% to 40% and projected training more than 100,000 individuals in 2024. Registrations included 160 disabled and around 2,000 transgender citizens. Over 6,000 institutions have joined NAVTTC, with 1,100 from Baluchistan alone.
The minister also organized the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers’ Conference (IPEMC) to address out-of-school children, a top priority for his ministry. Emphasis was placed on enhancing education quality, upgrading public school infrastructure, and implementing anti-drug policies, particularly in private institutions.
