A revised Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) now bars certain education officers from conducting budget audits.
Instead, specially nominated district committees will oversee spending, needing unanimous school council approval. The released non-salary budget can now cover security and sanitation staff salaries and furniture purchases. Rawalpindi gets Rs11.71 million for 1,828 schools, while Attock, Chakwal, and Jehlum receive Rs5.989M, Rs6.263M, and Rs4.461M, respectively.
