SAU’s Approved Budget for 2023-24
“SAU Senate Approves Budget; Emphasizes Resource Growth”
In Hyderabad, the SAU Senate endorsed the estimated budget for the fiscal year 2023-24, along with the annual performance report for 2022. The report highlighted an increase in internal resources and reduced expenses. Additionally, a committee aimed at augmenting the university’s resources was sanctioned.
Chaired by Vice Chancellor Dr. Fateh Marri, the 28th Senate meeting of Sindh Agriculture University convened at the SAU Senate Hall. Notable attendees included Dr. Sarosh Lodhi from NED University Karachi, a Sindh Higher Education Commission representative, Dr. Arbela Bhutto from the University of Art, Design and Heritage Jamshoro, a representative from the Higher Education Commission Islamabad, former Federal Secretary Imtiaz Qazi, and Ahsan Leghari, Additional Secretary College Education. Noor Ahmed Samo, Secretary of Universities and Boards, Government of Sindh, and Dr. Sarfraz Solangi participated virtually.
The session covered the university’s financial statements for the Fiscal Year 2021-22, the revised budget for 2022-23, and the projected budget for 2023-24.
Aneel Kumar, SAU’s Director of Finance, presented an estimated budget of Rs. 3660.025 million for the university and Rs. 372.887 million for Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Agricultural College Dokri for the fiscal year 2023-24. Moreover, the revised budget summaries of Rs. 3050.078 million for SAU and Rs. 246.145 million for Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Agricultural College
