To ensure the well-being of children, health camps will be established at FDE schools
The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, collaborating with the Ministry of Health, is launching a comprehensive health initiative for students within institutions under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) to assess and ensure their well-being.
The FDE has instructed Director Colleges, schools, and Area Education Officers in rural Islamabad to organize health camps. Institutions are asked to compile students’ data for the health teams arriving by 05-01-2024.
Riffat Jabeen, FDE’s Director of Academics, highlighted the initiative’s goal to prioritize student health. She mentioned the imminent start of the camps within two weeks and urged schools to encourage students’ active participation without disrupting academic routines. The health check-ups will be conducted by doctors from major public and private hospitals in the federal capital.
The Ministry had previously distributed ‘Hygiene Kits’ to government educational institutions in the ICT jurisdiction, aiming to ensure students’ well-being and provide guidance on health and hygiene.
