UET Taxila’s 21st Convocation Held on Saturday
The 21st Convocation of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Taxila took place in the Multipurpose Hall last Saturday.
Governor Punjab Muhammad Balig ur Rehman graced the occasion as the chief guest and in his address, encouraged the graduating students to contribute towards the nation’s progress. He emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing education, allocating substantial funds to research and development.
He also highlighted the allocation of Rs 1.2 billion by the Pakistani government to modernize labs in engineering institutes nationwide and establish state-of-the-art facilities.
A total of 1184 degrees were conferred during the ceremony, including 29 PhDs, 75 MSs, and 1080 undergraduate degrees. Thirty-one students received medals for their outstanding academic achievements.
During the event, Governor Punjab laid the foundation for the Software Technology Park and the “University Solarization Scheme of 1.5 Megawatt.” The ceremony was attended by the University’s Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaiser uz Zaman Khan, students, parents, and other dignitaries
