UIT Convocation Grants 379 Degrees

At the recent convocation held at the Usman Institute of Technology (UIT) in Karachi, a total of 379 degrees were conferred to graduates. Among these degrees were 156 in Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, 107 in Bachelor of Sciences in Computer Science, and 116 in Bachelor of Sciences in Software Engineering.

During the ceremony, Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi, Vice-Chancellor of NED University, oversaw the proceedings and personally awarded degrees to the graduating students. Notably, six exceptional students were honored with the prestigious Usman Gold Medals and cash prizes of Rs25,000 each for their outstanding academic achievements.

The position holders, including Narmeen Naemullah Sheikh, Ammar Bin Amir, Fahad Mansoor, Rameen Hassan, Shaiz Akbar, and Gul e Hasnain, were recognized for their excellence in various departments, receiving Usman Hasham Gold Medals and cash prizes.

Additionally, four first-position students from the Department of Electrical Engineering were presented with Gold Medals from the Institute of Engineering Pakistan (IEP).

Expressing gratitude for the continuous support from NED University, Dr. Abdul Qadir, Director of Usman Institute of Technology, highlighted UIT’s 29-year legacy, producing over 5000 graduates contributing significantly in Pakistan and globally. He emphasized UIT’s adherence to the highest standards set by accrediting bodies like the Pakistan Engineering Council and the National Computing Education Accreditation Council.
