In 2024, UMT introduces doctoral degree programs encompassing a diverse array of disciplines. The primary aim of the 2024 PhD programs is to cultivate adept research scholars through rigorous training, equipping them for scholarly publication and teaching roles at the collegiate level. Typically spanning three to four years of full-time study, admissions for the 2024 PhD programs are currently open. Below are the doctoral programs offered at UMT, along with comprehensive course outlines.

Admission Criteria

  • Admission requirements for all undergraduate and graduate programs for Spring 2024 are available on the websites of respective schools and institutes.

  • Admission criteria for UMT programs generally involve meeting standards set for undergraduate, graduate, and PhD programs.
    • Entrance test samples can be found on the OIA website.
    • Admissions are merit-based according to specified criteria or additional criteria if applicable.
  • Undergraduate merit is determined as follows:
    • 20% from Matric marks
    • 30% from Entrance Test marks
    • 50% from Intermediate marks
    • Interview may be required
  • For undergraduate Engineering programs, merit list finalization is based on:
    • Passing entry test with minimum 33% marks from Designated Entity/Testing Agency
    • 50% from Intermediate marks
    • 33% from Entrance Test marks
    • 17% from Matric marks
    • Designated Entities/Testing Agencies conducting entry tests include UET Lahore, NED-UET Karachi, MUET Jamshoro, NUST Islamabad, NTS, ETEA, and others.
    • ICS students with Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Studies backgrounds are eligible for Engineering program admission.
  • For undergraduate LLB program, merit list finalization is based on:
    • Mandatory Law Admission Test (LAT).
  • For graduate and PhD programs, merit list finalization is based on:
    • Academic Marks
    • UGAT/GAT Marks
    • Panel Interview Marks

How To Apply Online

  10. Receive a fee voucher:

  11. Deposit the fee in any of the mentioned banks nationwide:

    • Pay the required fee at any of the designated banks nationwide.
  12. Submit the required documents along with fee receipts:

    • Submit the necessary documents along with the fee receipts for verification.
  13. Receive a Student ID:

    • Upon completion of the admission process, receive a Student ID for identification purposes.
  14. Attend orientation:
